One challenging aspect of chronicity is the incurability of many non-communicable diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease.  But this does not prevent sufferers from living long, full and active lives. The efforts of the sufferer along with those of the family and healthcare professionals are important in achieving this. Enjoy our video and audio content which delves into this theme.

Developing a chronic condition such as heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes or depression can lead to a sufferer feeling isolated and detached from their family or social circles. However, dealing with chronic illness over time  is as much a social journey as it is an individual one. We can learn from the experiences of others; whether it be fellow sufferers, caregivers, priests or healthcare providers. Each can play a role in providing valuable support and care.

In this section of the website, we will use art to examine and explain this aspect of Chronicity and Care.
